Our beginnings go back 42 plus years as young apprentices in the camera repair business.  After many years in the business, learning the art of camera repair, we opened our first full service repair facility in Pasadena California in 1987.  Ten years later, in 1997, we opened our current full service repair facility in Portland Oregon. As an authorized dealer for Nikon, Canon, Sigma and Tamron, our technicians are factory trained on all makes and models, providing full service to high end camera stores, professional photographers and enthusiasts alike, both locally and out of state.  Additionally, as a full service repair, sales, and rental company, we offer discounted rates on professional camera equipment rentals while repairs are in progress should the need arise.  You can be assured that we have your back.  Our goal is to make sure that your camera needs are addressed and attended to in a most professional manner and you are completely satisfied, without exception. 

Basic Introduction

CAMERA REPAIR ESTIMATESThere is a non-refundable deposit* required for all repair estimates to cover technicians time and research; however, this will subtract from your final cost if the estimate is approved.

*Digital point and shoot cameras $24, Digital SLR $49, Camcorders $65-$95, Misc. (e.g. film bodies, flashes, & lenses) $24
 A return shipping charge of $18.00 will apply to all equipment for which the customer declines the estimate.REPAIR AUTHORIZATIONSCamera Solutions may notify customer by telephone or e-mail to obtain authorization for repair estimates and/or re-estimates.  We will not proceed with repairs until an authorization is received. RE-ESTIMATEWe make estimates in good faith. However, if once we begin the repair work we find something else substantially wrong with the camera equipment we will inform you of the new estimate. At that point you still have the option to decline the re-estimate and we will return the camera as it was originally delivered to us at no charge except your initial deposit.  REPAIR TIMERepair completion date is not guaranteed (average repair time is 2-3 weeks after the estimate is approved).  CameraSolutions is not responsible for delayed repairs, for any reason.  Therefore, rentals will NOT be complimentary but a 25% discount is offered while your equipment is in service. 

 RUSH service is available on most repairs for an additional cost OF 25% – call for details.SHIPPINGAll repairs are shipped UPS Ground.  The minimum charge is $18.00, may vary depending on weight, and applies to all repairs and cleanings. Users are responsible for the shipping costs, to  CameraSolutions, in the case of warranty repairs. Camera Solutions will pay for return shipping. WARRANTYDigital & film cameras, camcorders, binoculars, flashes, professionally used equipment carry a 90 day warrantee. Sensor cleanings carry a warranty of 72 hours.  Minor repairs are guaranteed for 30 days. 
The equipment has been repaired and inspected, but please test your equipment as soon as your unit is returned.  As a precaution, we recommend that you test your equipment before any important event.  CameraSolutions is not responsible for any expense, loss, or inconvenience.

  *Warranty period effective from date of completion not from pickup date and it is for the work done only.  CameraSolutions is not responsible for any expense, loss, or inconvenience.  Warranty is voided if there has been any damage inflicted on the equipment including, but not limited to: abuse, tampering, impact, moisture/liquid, sand, extreme temperatures, battery leakage, chemical corrosion, tampering, or any operation that would be abuse and/or contrary to the operating manual. We are the final arbiters of what constitutes abuse. LIABILITY Any equipment that is not fully paid for within 90 days, after the date of “repair complete” notification, may be disposed of by CameraSolutions.  The customer shall have no further claim against CameraSolutions for the equipment or any of the value thereof. 

Please do not send any additional items or accessories in with your equipment.  CameraSolutions is not responsible for items left with camera (for example, but not limited to: memory cards, film, tapes, batteries, straps).
